AA Field Target Match

Fine Tuning for Nationals

by Ken Hughes

The match day weather conditions were good, the sun was bright, the wind slight, the temp just right. The thoughts of George and Linda Gardner moving to California, and not getting to shoot with George monthly was the only unpleasant aspect of the day.

The Airgunning Atlanta members, going to Nationals in Florida on November 6 & 7, used Saturdays shoot as a final tune-up match. AA's Team-Georgia attending the U.S. Field Target Championship in Port Malabar, Florida are Walt Roller, Doug Vinson, Joel Hansel, Robert Crocker, and Ken Hughes.

Eight shooters participated in the 60 shot course with another amazing outcome. Walt Roller was match winner with a score of 59 of 60 (98.3%). Good shooting Walt !!

In the Precharged Class, Doug Vinson captured First Place scoring 54 of 60 shots. Tommy Garland took Second Place with a score of 53 of 60 shots. Winston Smith took Third Place with 50 of 60 shots.

In the Spring Piston Class, Joel Hansel cam in First Place scoring 44 of 60 shots and Bennie Davis secured Second Place with a score of 41 of 60 shots.

Hope to see everyone, and any new faces that want to attend, on November 13 for our next match and fresh “tales” from the nationals event.

Everyone at Airgunning Atlanta wants to wish George and Linda Gardner the very best life has to offer.
