Pro-Target Showdown

by David Still

Kentucky here we come... Next weekend is the 1999 Kentucky Bluegrass Regionals in Lexington, Kentucky.  Hopefully, Airgunning Atlanta can caulk up another Team-Atlanta First Place trophy. Seven shooters participated in the 60 shot course with another amazing outcome.

Doug Vinson and Walt Roller tied for match winner with scores of 54 of 60 (90.0%). Doug Vinson continues to improve each month and was heard saying he will win October's AA match.

Ken Hughes took First Place with a score of 53 of 60 with George Gardner capturing Second Place with a score of 51 of 60.

Bennie Davis secured First Place in the Spring Piston Class with a score of 32 of 60.

Walt Roller is "Back On Track"

Covington, GA  September 11, 1999

Walt Roller has fully recovered from his July automobile accident.  He regained his club ranking by becoming match winner at Airgunning Atlanta's September match. Walt was not expecting to have such fierce competition from Doug Vinson. Doug tied Walt's score joining Walt in the match winners circle.

Doug, keep on improving because Walt is adding a new Pro-Target barrel and getting in some practice. October's match will be one for the record books.

Glad to have you back Walt.
