HISTORY OF GEORGIAJOBS.COM

Founded in October 1996, GeorgiaJobs.com [GAJobs.com], originally called Project: GeorgiaJobs.com, was developed to serve Georgia employers as a locally based job posting website. Posting both contract and permanent openings, GAJobs.com functioned as a Statewide Community Service Project. The site's popularity grew as major employers discovered its locally focus approach to candidate recruitment.

In July 2003, the site was completely redesigned to address a diverse employment audience including new features.  A resume database was added allowing jobseekers to post or "park" their resumes for "Auto Apply" submittal. Both employers and jobseekers were given full control over what information is made available for viewing.

GAJobs.com is not limited to Georgia employers and jobseekers. We encourage out-of-state employers and jobseekers to post job openings and resumes. The site is continuously updated.
